Balmain x H&M06:20
In the course of H&M’s annual designer collaboration, current head designer of haute couture fashion house Balmain Olivier Rousteing is now launching an affordable collection with the Swedish clothing company following the footsteps of Rei Kawakubo and Comme des Garçons, Versace, Maison Martin Margiela, Alexander Wang and many more. Rousteing has recreated several of his signature pieces merely using distinctly lower quality fabrics, e.g. opulent leather biker jackets, double-breasted blazers, biker jeans and leather pants, captain and pilot tops with bold gold detailing and even basic t-shirts with Balmain’s typographic logo amended by replacing the postpositioned „Paris“ with „France“. You can also find a wide range of accessories and notable earphones within the framework of the collaboration. While the collection has been intensely advertised through celebrity models like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Jourdan Dunn for a while now, it will hit stores and digital shelves on November 5, 2015.
